Guillermo León Sáenz Vargas, alias 'Alfonso Cano,' was the supreme commander of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia – FARC), the hemisphere’s oldest and deadliest insurgency. He was killed on November 4.
