Weekly InSight: Colombia's 'Invisibles' - the New Generation of Drug Traffickers

COLOMBIA / 15 MAR 2018 BY INSIGHT CRIME EN

InSight Crime's co-director Jeremy McDermott and Senior Investigator Deborah Bonello dug into our latest report this week -- ‘The Invisibles’: Colombia’s new generation of drug traffickers -- one of the first investigations to come out of the freshly-launched Observatory on Organized Crime in Colombia.

The first part of the conversation focused on the substance and purpose of the Observatory as well as the factors that have led to the birth of a fourth generation of Colombian drug traffickers.

Part two focused on the "Invisibles": who they are, how they work and what they mean for the global international cocaine trade and those trying to stop it.
