Guatemala President Jimmy Morales' decision not to renew the mandate of the United Nations-backed International Commission Against Impunity in Guatemala (Comisión Internacional Contra la Impunidad en Guatemala – CICIG) and the decision to deny CICIG Commissioner Iván Velásquez’s re-entry into the country mark the latest chapter in a long battle between Morales and the anti-graft body.
